1) D2D Christians are arrogant more often than not. I can't stand that. I'm fairly certain your religion doesn't condone arrogance. It really irks me when I open the door and see one of them. I just know that they're going to question me about what I know about what the Bible says and all that crap. They try to make you feel like an idiot if you don't know it like the back of your hand. THEN, they get on their high horses and look down at you with a sanctimonious sneer saying (basically), "Since you don't know everything the Bible says and since you're not our denomination, you must have a crappy relationship with God!" I just want to slap them. It is my place to determine my relationship with the Lord. It's a personal thing.
2) If you feel you have to spread your faith by trying to force it on others, you obviously don't even have it right within yourself. The general idea is that you should treat people well and live such a pious life that others will be drawn to it through witnessing your good deeds. I'm not saying you shouldn't discuss it, but it shouldn't be forced upon people and it shouldn't be in a condescending tone. Not at all. I don't recall reading in the Bible any part where Jesus made people feel like jerks because they weren't as righteous as He was.
Anyway...just a bit of a rant. I got to talking about this with Matt today (or yesterday...can't remember). I suppose it's kind of hard not to try to force people into something when you know you're only trying to save them and teach them something for their own good. I have to say, though, a lesson is never truly learned unless the student is willing to learn it.

Door-to-Door Christianity (and why it sucks)
WoW
Just played World of Warcraft (WoW) for the first time yesterday at a friend's. The acronym WoW pretty well describes it. LOL! I'm hooked, 'cause for me it's like a cross between Flyff and Neverwinter Nights. Haha! (Those are the only two other games I've ever played, really.) At any rate, fun fun! I just don't want to end up having to pay $15/mo for the game. (It's an MMORPG...which means massively multiplayer online role playing game.) With it being pretty popular and all, I guess they need the money to keep up their servers. Sucks for me, I guess. Haha!
At least now I know what all the hype was about. It's good for zoning out and having fun at the same time. Not really too much to concentrate on, but just enough to keep you entertained. Good stuff.

"Addictive" vs. "Addicting"
I've noticed that many dictionaries, against what I consider "better judgment", are starting to include common mispronunciations and newly made-up words as being correct. I wonder if perhaps the dictionaries are including "addicting" now because people so often use it, not because it's correct. I can see how it would be correct if the context were to go as follows: Joe Schmoe Coffee wants to make sure they have a large percentage of drinkers. They put special chemicals in their products which end up addicting the drinkers to their coffee. I don't see how "addicting" works unless it is followed by "whom" the thing is addicting. Addicting would have to be a verb, not an adjective or a participle adjective.
Some may argue that "annoying" can be used as a participle adjective, so "addicting" should be allowable in that sense. In case you haven't noticed, there are always strange exceptions to the rules in the English language. Notice, though, that "annoying" is also a verb.

My Precursor
Okay, so I've blogged before (MySpace, Xanga, etc.), but I've never had just a blog where I didn't already know people. I'm just starting this for the sake of interesting thoughts, ideas, and conversation. I want to know that the comments/thoughts I'm receiving aren't being self-restricted by people who are my friends in real life, for fear that they may anger me. That's not how I usually roll (<---Haha!).
Anyway, I just wanted to start something fun. I don't like pointless flaming. You start something, you better know what the hell you're talking about and you better not just be out for blood. Stupidity pisses me off. Don't try your drama here, please. I can dish it out just as much as I can take it, so beware.
That being said, I hope we all can enjoy my new blog!
